The Pines School
I am extremely proud to welcome you to The Pines Community and Nursery School. This website will give you a flavour of what makes The Pines such a successful school and a very special place of learning.
The pupils, staff and governors are all very proud of our highly successful school which sits at the heart of its local community. At The Pines we are committed to delivering an outstanding education in an exceptional environment, where every child has the opportunity to achieve the highest level of success.
We believe there is no better environment than The Pines School for a child to develop. OFSTED describes The Pines as a GOOD school where “pupils are happy. They feel safe in school and know there is someone to turn to if they have a problem. They are well looked after.”

Dear Parents, Guardians and Children,
I am delighted to be able to tell you that on Wednesday 6th March, after a rigourous interview process which involved Bracknell Forest Council Education professionals, a panel of governors, our own Interim Headteacher, several teachers from the school and the School Council, the Governors of the Pines appointed a new Headteacher from 1st September 2019.
Her name is Mrs Kate Davies and she is currently Deputy Headteacher at Foxhills Primary school. She has also been Acting Headteacher for the past term due to the illness of the Foxhills Headteacher.
Kate will be visiting the school regularly over the next two terms to get to know the school, staff and the community but also to assist in any forward planning and recruitment as we still need to recruit our Deputy Headteacher. There will be opportunities to meet with her over the next few months but certainly once she takes up her post there will be planned events at which you will be able to meet with her.
Once again, the Governors want to say how delighted they are with this key appointment and look forward to working closely with Kate in the future.
Mrs Carole Ann S Roycroft
Chair of Governors
