Welcome to The Pines School
The Pines School is a local authority community school for boys and girls aged from three to eleven years old.
Welcome from the Headteacher
We are a very friendly community school, where families are encouraged to learn together and give their children the confidence to succeed.
We are proud of our children, their behaviour and many achievements. We provide a calm and happy atmosphere setting high standards of respect, courtesy, hard work and achievement for everyone.
The Pines School is a very special place. Visitors often comment positively on the children’s warm welcome, their enthusiasm and also on staff’s commitment and dedication. We understand the power of education and take very seriously our duty to give your children the best start in life.
Our learning community combines high expectations with quality learning and relationships to ensure that every child achieves a personal best.
As Headteacher, I am very proud to be a member of this community. We continue to strive for continuous improvements in everything we do. Our commitment is to be the best we can be and to help your children become successful, happy and respectful young people. Their learning and personal development are our driving force. We believe that every child in our school should be treated as if they were our own.
We want our children to have the skills necessary for the future – to be confident and competent members of a modern society. There is no better environment than The Pines Primary and Nursery School for a child to develop. OFSTED describes The Pines as a GOOD school where “pupils are happy. They feel safe in school and know there is someone to turn to if they have a problem. They are well looked after.”
Educating children is a great responsibility and privilege and at The Pines we readily accept this. If you are interested in finding out more about our school, please come and visit us.

Welcome from the Chair of Governors
Welcome to The Pines School from all the Governors.
I was elected as the Chair of Governors in November 2018 and was very glad to be able to meet parents at our meet the new Senior Leadership morning on 17th December 2018.
We start the New Year 2019 with a strong and effective Leadership team in place. I know that this is an important outcome for all stakeholders in the school, and believe that this signals an opportunity for improvement in each child’s learning experience. Recruitment for a permanent Headteacher is now in place.
I particularly want to welcome anyone thinking of sending their child to the school to come and visit the school and see what a great place it would be to educate them.
As Chair I will be supporting our new Leadership team and through effective Governance ensure that all changes benefit the children and staff. To contact me please use the following email Clerk to Governors at firstname.lastname@example.org,
