Welcome to The Pines School

The Pines School is a local authority community school for boys and girls aged from three to eleven years old.

Welcome from the Headteacher

I am extremely proud to welcome you to The Pines Primary and Nursery School. This website will give you a flavour of what makes The Pines such a successful school and a very special place of learning.

The pupils, staff and governors are all very proud of our highly successful school which sits at the heart of its local community. At The Pines we are committed to delivering an outstanding education in an exceptional environment, where every child has the opportunity to achieve the highest level of success.

The Pines is built on a formula of high expectations, quality first teaching, and the belief that all children can succeed. We focus on developing well-rounded individuals who excel academically, technically, on the sporting field and in the arts. Our values based on being respectful, reflective, good communicators, aspirational, inventive and risk takers ensure our pupils develop enquiring minds and acquire the relevant skills, attitudes and knowledge to fully prepare them as they progress from The Pines onto Secondary School and beyond into adult life.

All learners, regardless of ability, benefit from the innovative and creative approaches to teaching and learning within the school. We believe that parents and carers have a crucial part to play with the school’s staff in creating a climate of high expectation that will encourage all children to achieve their very best.

There is no better environment than The Pines Primary and Nursery School for a child to develop. OFSTED describes The Pines as a GOOD school where “pupils are happy. They feel safe in school and know there is someone to turn to if they have a problem. They are well looked after.”

Educating children is a great responsibility and privilege and at The Pines we readily accept this. If you are interested in finding out more about our school, please come and visit us.

Welcome from the Chair of Governors

Dear All

I am very proud and honoured to have been elected as the new Chair of Governors at The Pines School and to be able to join forces with Miss Melero, to move our school onwards and upwards.

As a Governing Body we are delighted that the school has gained a ‘Good’ standard at the recent Ofsted inspection and we recognise how much work and effort the whole staff put in for that to happen.  Credit must go to our children, too, as they have learnt the work ethics required for them to make progress.

We are excited to be starting out on a new era for The Pines School where all our standards continue to be good and we aim to become outstanding.   This new academic year promises to be interesting and innovative with our well qualified and motivated staff working to further develop the potential in our children.

This year the Governing Body intends to publish regular updates on its activities.  Further information about who we are can be found in the ‘Governors’ section on the school website.  Governors can be contacted via Naomi Sloane, our Clerk to Governors at clerk@office.pines.bracknell-forest.sch.uk

Sincerely

Penny Thompson
Chair of Governing Body
