Upper KS2 Year 5 and Year 6
Foundation 1 (Nursery, Ages 3-4)
The Nursery class has 52 part-time places. Children attend the Nursery class on a part-time basis.
Children will usually attend full-time in the Reception Class before starting Key Stage One.
Parents are reminded that they must apply for a full-time Primary place. Applications are made to Bracknell Forest Schools Admissions Department. Guidance is available from the School Office and Bracknell Forest (www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk)
Foundation 2 (Reception, Ages 4-5)
Reception consists of two classes. In total, we have 60 spaces for children.
Key Stage One (Year 1 and 2, Ages 5-7 years)
The children in Years 1 and 2 are in Key Stage One. There are two classes in each year group. Year 1 is placed next to the Foundation Unit, to ensure seamless transition from Reception to Year 1. Year 2 is in the same corridor as Year 3, to aid with the transition from Key Stage One to Key Stage Two.
Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, Ages 7-11)
The children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are at Key Stage Two of their education. Currently, we have two Year 3 classes, two Year 4 classes, and one class in Year 5 and 6. As we continue to grow, we will have two classes in all year groups. Year 4, 5 and 6 are found in the Lower Building.
Transfer to Secondary School
Children transfer to secondary education at the end of Year 6. The school works closely with the Secondary Schools to ensure a smooth transfer. The SENDCo works closely with teachers and schools to support children who require further transition support.
