Below are some of the comments we receive from visitors to our school.
It has been a delight to work with The Pines School this term. All the children listened very well in the assembly and year 5 a 6 were very engaged in the workshops and participated maturely and thoughtfully in these sessions. The children participated in a sponsored spell and has raised a fantastic amount of money for the NSPCC. This will ensure we can continue to work with school and promote our speak out stay safe message.Kim from NSPCC | March 2017
I had the pleasure of visiting The Pines to train class teachers how to use Expeditions (Google's educational virtual reality app) during their lessons. The staff were superb and took to using the technology effectively in sessions with their respective classes. The students were amazingly polite, respectful and keen to contribute to discussions about their subjects and the VR content. It was fantastic to see the tech used so brilliantly by both the staff and students. Thank you for a great day!'Flora, from Google Expeditions Pioneer Programme | March 2017
We've been loving all the 'Book Bingo' inquiries we've been having at both Birch Hill and Great Hollands libraries this year. Both your children and the parents seem to be really fired up about taking part and we've had many parents come in with their children to hunt out books so that they could complete the challenge. We're always happy here to help get children really enthusiastic about reading and it's been lovely to see so many pupils from the school taking part via the libraries.
Also, I wanted to say thank you for the recent invites from the Nursery and reception classes for visits for storytelling. It was especially lovely this morning to come in and visit on World Book day and see everyone (pupils and staff!) all dressed up! I was very happy to be a part of your celebrations today.

I really enjoyed my time there and I'm so happy that the kids enjoyed it and got lots out of it. It was a pleasure to talk about it and help the children. They were a joy to talk to and be around. They are all a credit to the school. Olivia was a very proud girl seeing daddy coming into her class!A parent in Reception | March 2017
“Explore Learning have worked with most year groups at The Pines school and we always love coming! The pupils and teachers are welcoming and the children are always excited to learn. We feel part of the family at this school and love the atmosphere whenever we visit. The staff at The Pines obviously have the children at their heart, and do their upmost to ensure every child has a happy education.”
